Cherie Lynnette Brook, 56, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Huntsville Hospital Hospice after a battle with cancer.
Born on September 22, 1964, in Wichita, Kansas, Cherie was the daughter of the late Ronald and Geraldine Barnes. She was a graduate of the University of Kansas, a member of the First United Methodist Church and a business owner. Cherie loved to spend time with her family, entertain and volunteer. She was an incredible philanthropist and faithful Christian. She fought bravely against her cancer until the end and never let it beat her. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Ron; daughters, Kathleen and Caroline; son, Ronnie; sister, Kim Deay (Charles) of Des Moines IA; and brother, Michael (Maggie) of Grant AL.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 10 at First United Methodist Church in downtown Huntsville. A memorial service will follow at the church with the Rev. Bill Crosby officiating.
