Charles William  Morgan Jr. Charles William Morgan Jr., age 80 of Estill Springs, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021 at NHC in Tullahoma. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Sewanee on January 2, 1940 to the late, Charles William and Virginia C. Rollins Morgan Sr. Charles was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and later retired from AEDC after 40 years of services as a machinist. He loved flying, and always dreamed of owning his own plane. He was an avid hunter, target shooter, reader, and loved to watch Westerns and Star Trek. Charles was a man of integrity and few words, but he said what he meant and meant what he said. He was a loving and protective family man, that would do anything for his wife and children. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Morgan Sr., George Morgan Sr.; and beloved grandson, Jeremy Morgan Watkins. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Doris Short Morgan of Estill Springs; children, Janice (John) Lentz of Corinth, TN, Karen Watkins Collins of Estill Springs, Rhonda Gayle Morgan of Ft. Worth, TX, Tammy Lee (Clancy) Baker of Estill Springs; grandchildren, Charles Lentz, Elizabeth Lentz, Cory Baker, Trey Baker; sister, JoAnn (Juan) Rodriguez of Shelbyville; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00 -8:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 3, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2020 in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Pastor Sharon Austell officiating. Interment will follow at Eastern Star Cemetery, in Sewanee, Tennessee. The family requests that all that attend please wear a mask.
