Charles William Copeland Sr., age 81, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Charles was a lifelong resident of Franklin County, and a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church for 56 years, where he served as a deacon for 39 of those years. Charles retired from Reynolds/Wise after 25plus years of loyal service as a maintenance mechanic
There will be a visitation on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Randall Tice and Bro. Sammy Swinney officiating.
Charles is survived by his wife of 59 years “We Survived” Linda Doris Mathheus Copeland daughters, Glenna Bagwell, Janet Copeland, and Stephanie Yarbrough , daughter-in-love Lisa Copeland ; brothers, Lucian Copeland, Rucian Copeland (Sue Dean); grandchildren, Daniel, Heather (Baylie), Cody (Carly), Shelby (Travis) Jake Copeland; great grandchildren, Allyson, Aurora, Arya, Archie, Roman, Linlee-Coraline, Everlie; as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
He is preceded in death by son, Charles Copeland Jr.; parents, Price & Mae Lynn Copeland; an infant sister; and brothers, Price Millard Copeland, Hershel Copeland, Son-in-law Dudley Bagwell,
