Charles Ray Hubbard, 63 of Muscle Shoals, departed this life to our Heavenly Father on May 18, 2015. He was born March 21, 1952 on Bluewater in Lawrence County, TN. He was a member of Tri-Cities Church of Christ. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 20, 2015, from 12-1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia There will be a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. in Piney Grove Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents Emory and Pauline Rhodes Hubbard.
Survivors include his wife and best friend Gloria Hubbard; daughters, Bridget Akin(Shad), Julie Johnson(Jonathan), Emily Jones(Jake), Kimberly Tipper(Brian), Rochelle Nichols(Stephen); son, Ashley Johnson(Becky); brothers, Harvey Hubbard(Nell), Harold Hubbard(Jane), Lonnie Hubbard and Wayne Hubbard; sister, Willie Jane Jackson(Kenneth); seven nephews, three nieces, 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Charlie always wore a smile and loved working with the soil. He often said, “I love the smell of fresh dirt.” Charlie was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was most happy when outside in nature.
The family is very thankful for the excellent care from Alacare Hospice, food and visits of inspiration.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
