Charles Phillip Gainous, age 72, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Northcrest Medical Center. Mr. Gainous’s wishes were to be cremated and there are no services scheduled at this time.
Mr. Gainous was born August 6, 1953, in Springfield, to the late William Ralso Gainous and the late Elizabeth Carter Gainous. He was a machine operator at UNARCO for many years.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gainous was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Gainous, Cliff Gainous, and Joey Gainous; and a sister, Linda Haley.
He is survived by his brothers, Mike Gainous, and Glenn Gainous; and a sister, Polly Draper.
