Charles Kenneth Owens age 87 of Athens passed away Monday at his residence.
Mr. Owens was born September 11, 1935 in Limestone County. He was a member of Lebanon Community Church, and a retired construction worker.
Graveside service will be 11 am Wednesday at Lebanon Cemetery with Terry Lamar and Scotty Travis officiating.
No visitation is planned.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Owens of Athens. Step Son, Mitchell (Melinda) Haynes of Athens. Step Daughters Tamara (Scott) Maness of Athens and Carla (Joel) Fichtner of Athens. Step Grandchildren, Kelly Davis, Mack Maness, Dalton (Sydney) Haynes, Reagan Fichtner, Kaitlynn Haynes and Brody Fichtner. Step Great Grandchildren, Ryleigh Hill, Bryson Davis and Colby Davis. Brother, James (Rhonda) Owens of Athens. Sisters, Shirley (Ted) Mitchell of Athens and Betty (B.J.) Jackson of Decatur.
Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his first Wife, Jesse Owens.
