Charles Grady Skelton, 75 of Arab passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at his residence. He was born October 10, 1950 the son of William Grady Skelton and Bobbie Jean Hardin Skelton. He was a graduate of Fairview High School, Class of 1970 and had retired from Redstone Arsenal as a custodian. He was a member of Old Brashier’s Chapel Church. He was an enthusiastic supporter of Alabama football and would sometimes contact the girls to discuss plays that occurred during the game. He enjoyed traveling to the Smokie Mountains and going to Dollywood. He had a strong appreciation for outdoor activities, with a particular interest in gardening and cultivating his own vegetables. One of his favorite pastimes was hopping in the car and driving along winding country roads, soaking in the sights and feeling the peaceful charm of the countryside. Whether it was the gentle breeze through the open window or the sunlight dancing across fields, he cherished these moments of quiet exploration.
One of the fondest childhood memories of the girls was their dad reading the Bible every day. Attending church faithfully Sunday mornings and evenings, as well as Wednesday night Bible Study. He taught them Gods word and the difference between right and wrong. Daddy’s little girls have confidence in knowing that he has received that Heavenly mansion that he told them about so many times.
