Funeral for Charles F. Rhea, Jr., 86, of Hartselle will be Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 11 a.m. at East Highland Baptist Church with Bro. Jerrod Helms officiating and Peck Funeral Home Directing.
Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 before the funeral at the church.
Mr. Charles F. Rhea passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born September 29, 1939, in Clay County, Mississippi, to Charles Frank Rhea, Sr. and Frances Uithoven Rhea.
He was a long-time member of East Highland Baptist Church. Charles was a giving person that always was about helping others. He was the owner and operator of Big Star Grocery Store and then was a salesman for grocery goods, prior to his retirement. He collected can tabs to help out at the Ronald McDonald House and loved to garden and share his vegetables with friends. He was a United States Army Veteran and also served with the Army National Guard.

Preceding him in death were his wife; Ann Purdon Rhea, his parents, and a sister: Sarah Vickers.
