Charles Edward Jackson (Charlie Jack) was born to Cora Mae and William Jackson on October 20, 1946, in Sheffield, AL. Charles was drafted into the military where he served 2 tours in Vietnam and received a purple Heart Medal, honors and rewards. After the Military, Charles became the first Black Fireman in the City of Sheffield, AL. Charles later moved to Muscle Shoals, where he retired form Cherokee Nitrogen. Charles was preceded in death by his father, William Jackson; mother, Cora Mae Jackson; brother, Larry Jackson; sister, Ester Roots; and daughter, Yolanda Jackson.

His loving wife, Terrasa Jackson; beloved sons, Charles “Pop” Jackson (Lakeyia) and Jarre Mastin; loving daughters, Charis Boddie (Travis), Laitonia Jackson; loving devoted brother, Clifton “Butter” Jackson (Margaret); cousin/sister, Elizabeth Frierson; friend for over 30 years, Philip “Flash” Linville; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
