Graveside Services for Mr. Charles E. Lowry, age 83 of Lineville, were held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ashland City Cemetery with Rev. Calvin Pope officiating.
Mr. Lowry passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at RMC in Anniston. Mr. Lowry was born in Atlanta, Texas and lived in Florida before settling down in Clay County for the last seven years. He worked as a migrant worker and spent most of life as a pulpwooder with his wife. They spent most of their life together, and often enjoyed watching Westerns together.
Mr. Lowry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ira Nell Lowry of Lineville; one sister, Annie Mae Howell of Tennessee; one brother, Henry Lowry of Texas; several nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, A. V. Lowry Sr. and Lillian Dee Crawford; and two brothers, A.V. Lowry Jr. and James Lowry.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
