Charles David Garrett, age 77, of Florence, passed away April 24, 2017. Visitation will be Thursday, April 27, from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. A graveside service, with full military honors, will follow at 3 p.m. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Garret was a retired master chief with the U.S. Navy. He was a man of faith who had a great sense of humor and wit. He loved working in his yard, but his first love was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Young Garrett; children, Charles L. Garrett (Angela), Tammy R. Garrett (Tony), and Kari Garrett; siblings, Jackie Hackard (Jim), Carolyn Gedig (Bill), and William Garrett (Anne); grandchildren, Corey, Jayson, Gray, Carl, Raymond, and Joan; and great-grandchild, Loral, and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses at the Pallative Care Unit of ECM Hospital.
