Funeral service for Charles “Charlie” Edward Perry, 85, of Decatur, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Parkway Funeral Home with Ronny Jones and Jonathan Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, March 30, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Perry, who died Thursday, March 26, 2015, at his residence, was born January 22, 1930, to Jesse Wheeler Perry and Vernice Mary Perry. He was retired and was the founder of Forklift Repair Service Company and a former cabinet maker. He also served in the army. Mr. Perry was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Joey Perry.

Survivors include sons, Mike Perry and Steve Perry; daughter, Renee Johnson (Jonathan); grandchildren, Jessica Perry, Ben Johnson, Katie Johnson, and Tammy Wiley; great-grandchildren, Erin Wiley and Logan Wiley; and brothers, James Perry (Bonnie) and Bill Perry.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Johnson, Ben Johnson, Anthony Wiley, Danny Girodo, Mike Perry, and Steve Perry.

Memorial gifts can be made to Hospice of the Valley.
