Charles Braden Roberson, 82, of Rogersville, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at his residence.
He was a graduate of Lauderdale County High School, a veteran of the U.S Army serving in Korea, and a graduate of Auburn University.
Charles enjoyed a successful and rewarding career as an entrepreneur in agriculture and property development. His tireless commitment to various civic clubs and volunteer organizations is well recognized by the community, also many of the properties in which he developed continue to operate and grow in the city of Rogersville today.
Visitation will be today from noon-1 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow immediately in the chapel with Brother Vic Vickers officiating. Burial will follow in Civitan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Michael Roberson, Rog Garner, Jimmy Day, Anthony Nash, Joe Snowden, and Mark Casteel.
Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by his parents, James Rex and Lucille Braden Roberson, brother, John Roberson, granddaughter-in-law, Mandy Roberson, and brother-in-law, Hugh Nash.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doris B. “Dot” Roberson; son, Michael Charles (Jackie) Roberson; grandchildren, Charles M. (Lauren) Roberson and Stacy (Rog) Garner; great-grandchildren, Abby, Katie, and Rex Roberson and Olivia and Oliver Garner; sister, Jimmie Lou Nash; brothers, Robert Rex (Sue) Roberson and Richard (Janie) Roberson; sister-in-law, Anita Roberson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
