Charles Benjamin “Benny” Phifer, 53, of Iuka, MS, died Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. Benny was a retired truck driver who enjoyed boating and fishing, especially at Pearson Point or anywhere on the Tennessee River. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Tim Hankins. Interment will follow in Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Larry Cutshall, Jason Cutshall, Mikey “Tater” Thacker, Brian Willis, Johnny Rhodes, Willie Whitaker, Nick Tapp, and Brian Wilbanks. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Al Flannery and Ray Justice. Visitation is scheduled from 5pm until 8pm, Sunday, December 17, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his parents, Bobby and Lyndia Phifer and his son, Ben Phifer, all of Iuka. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dow and Lessel Hudson and L.D. and Lucille Phifer. Memorials may be made in Benny’s honor to the Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
