Chance Rubin Dunnam, 11, of Tupelo, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026. Chance was born on August 29, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Women’s Hospital in Tupelo, Mississippi, to Belinda Dunnam and Demarcus Trimble. Though his time here was far too short, Chance was a bright and loving young man who brought joy to everyone around him. He enjoyed spending his time playing video games, especially Fortnite and Roblox and had a strong love for sports, playing football and basketball. Chance cherished his friendship with his best friend, Kamden Daniel, and loved spending time laughing and making memories together. He was known for his sweet spirit, kind heart, and wonderful manners that touched the lives of those who knew him. Chance shared a special bond with his beloved grandmother, Ruby, and his uncle, Cody, whom he loved dearly. Chance will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who have had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
A service celebrating Chance’s life will be held at 11 AM Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Director’s-Tupelo with Pastor Michael Stamps officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4:00 PM Friday, February 7, 2026, and 10:00-service time Saturday at Holland Funeral Directors. Private burial will be in Porter’s Memorial Garden. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/Live-streaming and will be permanently archived thereafter. Chance is survived by his mother, Belinda Dunnam of Verona, MS; father, Demarcus Trimble of Saltillo, MS; grandparents, Ruby Dunnam, Kevin and Patricia “Pat” Trimble; uncle, Cody Dunnam; sister, Miami Dunnam and many friends and other relatives.
