CDC Recommends Updated COVID-19 Vaccine

ATLANTA, GA-CDC recommends that everyone ages 6 months and older get the updated 2023–2024 COVID-19 vaccine to protect against serious illness. The updated vaccine is safe and effective at protecting against COVID-19-related hospitalization and death, and it also reduces your chance of suffering the effects of Long COVID.

Getting vaccinated is especially important for people at highest risk for severe illness, including:

• Older adults
• People who have certain health conditions
• People who have a weakened immune system
• People who are pregnant
