Carrie McMurtrey, 86, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at her residence. She was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church.
Visitation will be today from noon-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Sidney Woodfin Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. McMurtrey was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. McMurtrey, and son, Clifton P. McMurtrey.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol M. Cruz, of Florence; brother, Douglas Nichols, of Montevallo, Alabama; grandchildren, Adrienne Solee, Joe Cruz, Paul J. McMurtrey III, Selena Jimenez, Papi Ciprian, and Isa Ciprian; and great-grandchild, Ethan Paul McMurtrey.
Pallbearers will be Joe Cruz, Matt Sylvester, Papi Ciprian, Paul J. McMurtrey III, and Kirby Byrd.
