Carolyn Jean Bourland Kimbrough, 76, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A graveside service will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens, Florence, beginning at 11:45 a.m. with Jeff Beech officiating.
Carolyn worked as a bank teller at Bank Independent for several years, then as church secretary at Highland Park Baptist Church, where she was a member. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Kimbrough; and parents, Lois and Augusta Bourland.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Joy Hayes (Scott); brother, Jim Bourland (Teresa); granddaughter, Jordan; and kitties, Ross and Lil Bit.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family offers special thanks to Carolyn’s wonderful caregivers and the staff of Alabama Hospice of the Shoals.
