Carol Denise Nix, 59, of Muscle Shoals, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 16, 2016. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19 from 4:00 until 6:30 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mason Quillin.
She is survived by her lifelong partner, Rick Nix; mother, Betty Cameron Quillin; sons, Jason Keeton and Shawn Nix; daughters, Angela Thomason, Stacey McCoy, and Erika Nix; mother-in-law, Betty Nix; brother, Sonny Quillin; sisters, Sandra Collins, Suzette Cannon, and Carol England ; grandchildren, Tristen, Cameron, Mackenzy, Gracie, Landon, Bailey, and Gage; special cousins, Mike, Janice, Debbie, Cathy, and Jerry; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family expresses special thanks to the HTIC unit at UAB Hospital, the transplant team, and all her friends and family, for their support, encouragement, and especially their prayers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Heart Association or Alabama Organ Center.
