Carol Ann MurphyCarol Ann Murphy passed away on August 6, 2021, at Cullman Regional Hospital in Cullman, Alabama. She was born September 21, 1961, to Maskell Bates Jones and Phyllis Naomi Jones (Reinhard).

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, John (Johnny) Jones and Timothy Jones; and her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Murphy.

Survivors include her brothers, Thomas (Kelly) Jones and David Jones; her aunt and uncle, Doris and Arthur Kleinfelder; her aunts, Mary Jane Jones and Millie Seeman; a stepdaughter, Roxanne (Jerry) Terramagra; and her grandson, Justin.

Born in Elmer, NJ, Carol was a graduate of Shalick High School, and she attended Gloucester County College. She lived in Clayton with her husband, Bob, whom she married in 1994, until relocating to Alabama in 2003. She and Bob shared their time together in Alabama until his passing in 2009.

As a young woman, Carol’s caring nature and desire to help those around her led her into the field of Nursing. As a Nurse’s Aide, she provided exceptional care and comfort for the residents in her charge. Later, while in Alabama, she would move into home health care, continuing with her passion to help others.

Carol collected Christmas nutcrackers and loved anything Betty Boop. Her extensive collection of Nutcrackers was always on display every Christmas. She loved to bake and make candy for her nephews, even though she couldn’t have any sweets. She never missed making an early morning phone call on all holidays and birthdays. She didn’t want to miss wishing you a happy birthday or a Merry Christmas.

She was happiest surrounded by her family, and she cherished the years spent with her husband, Bob. She adored her niece and nephews, Daniel, Michelle, Thomas, and Jesse. She spoke often of her cousins, Mary Frances, Bonnie, Harlan, Mary Ellen, Doug, Ricky, Michele, and Rachael, with whom she shared years of happy childhood memories. She enjoyed visiting her Reinhard cousins, Bob, Jeff, Carolyn, and Marni. Although they were far apart, they were still close at heart.
