Carol Ann Mask Stockton, age 79, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, peacefully met her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Surrounded by the love of her family, she left this world for her eternal home in Heaven. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Mike Noles officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Born on April 21, 1945, in Sheffield, Alabama, Carol’s life was a beautiful testament to her unwavering faith and a vibrant confidence in God’s grace and mercy. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and the genuine love she extended to everyone around her. Her spirit was marked by grace and gratitude, and she embraced each day with a heart full of love. Carol embodied the words of 2 Timothy 4:7. She fought the good fight, finished her race, and remained steadfast in her faith until the very end.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sarah Evelyn “Evie” Lackey Mask and Howard Mask, and her beloved husband of 50 years, Herbert Ray Stockton, with whom she shared a beautiful and blessed life.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Natasha Lindsey (Matt); cherished grandsons, Ryan and Ky Lindsey; and, as she fondly introduced them, her potential future granddaughters, Kacey Senn and Anna Clotfelter. She also leaves behind her loving sister, Brenda Isbell; her dear sisters-in-love, Johnnie Robertson, Betty Stockton, and Shirley Stockton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of Helen Keller Radiology, Hospice of North Alabama, Ginny Burgess, Daniel Freemon, Dr. Joshua Vacik, and Dr. Joseph Brasco for their exceptional care and support throughout Carol’s illness.
Carol’s legacy of love and faith will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Lindsey, Ky Lindsey, David Isbell, Ashley Isbell, Bubba Stockton and David Watkins. Honorary Pallbearers include The Sheffield Senior Center men, and John Cotton.
