Carmen Eugene “Gene” Sizemore – Obituary

Carmen Eugene “Gene” Sizemore, 84, of Town Creek, Ala., died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Cottage of the Shoals in Tuscumbia, Ala. He was born Oct. 2, 1929, in Lawrence County, Ala. He served in the Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by wife, Cleo Summers Sizemore, Town Creek, Ala.; daughter, Regina Hollobaugh, Birmingham, Ala.; grandson, Sam Hollobaugh, Birmingham, Ala.; brother, Harry Sizemore; uncles, James Sizemore, Herschel Sizemore, and Hubert Sizemore; aunt, Gazelle Hodges; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Michael.

Pallbearers will be Shane Sizemore, Shannon Flynn, Greg Flanagan, Tommy Summers, Dr. Mike Linville, and Donnie Sizemore.

He was preceded in death by father, Luther Sizemore; mother, Bessie Elizabeth Smith Sizemore; daughter, Teresa Sizemore; and brothers, L.C. Sizemore and Billy Sizemore.

Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Lawrence Funeral Home, Moulton. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Lawrence Funeral Home, Moulton, Ala. The Rev. Phil Kimbrough is officiating. Burial will be in Hardshell Cemetery, Town Creek, Ala.
