Carlton "Hop" James Hopkins  Carlton “Hop” James Hopkins, age 96 of Flintville, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Sherwood on October 30, 1924 to the late Claude and Myrtle (Epperson) Hopkins. Hop served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He was a truck driver up until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Harold Wayne Hopkins and Glenda Kay Brannan; and three siblings. Hop is survived by his children, Carla Prince of Cowan and Donald Ray Hopkins of Belvidere; significant other, Bobbie Panter of Flintville; siblings, Jimmy (Dale) Marlow of Hillsboro and Tommie (Charles) Stubblefield of Hillsboro; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 am-12 pm on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev.
