Carlotta “Connie” Higdon Haley, age 64, of Adams, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Friday, August 14th, in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. Dave Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Dunn Cemetery in Cedar Hill with Chris Stuard, Jason Stuard, Taylor Stuard, Skyler Stuard, Camaron Stuard and Kaleb Stuard serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pall bearers are Bryton Stuard, Will Elliott, Kahlil Stuard, Robert Elliott, Anthony Charpentier, Austin Charpentier and Lennie Minter.
The family will receive friends from 4-8pm Thursday, and again from 10am-1pm Friday, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Haley was born December 10, 1961, in Hopkinsville, KY, to the late Bailey Brown Higdon and Betty Carolyn Burney Higdon. She worked for Electrolux in quality and engineering at their Springfield warehouse for many years, and was a member of the Guthrie Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haley was preceded in death by her husband, William Anthony Haley.
She is survived by her sons, Chris (Chanin) Stuard and Jason (Tiffany Moody) Stuard; 7 grandchildren, Taylor Stuard, Skyler (Brooke) Stuard, Camaron Stuard, Kaleb Stuard, Kayte Stuard, Izzie Stuard and Bryton Stuard; and her sister, Cheryl Elliott.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
