Carlos Michael Geller, age 18, Midlothian, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, in Richmond, Virginia. He was born in Aurora, Illinois on Monday, April 8, 1996, to Robert E Geller and Judy Holland Geller.
His plans were to join the Marines, serve our country, and to achieve his lifelong goal of becoming a K-9 police officer. Carlos was not able to fulfill his dream of joining law enforcement, but the cities of Newport News, St. Petersburg, and Richmond, Virginia made him an honorary K-9 handler. The Marines provided him with several metals and recognition of honor, bravery, and courage. All of these honors and recognitions allowed him to fulfill his passion and dream. ?
Visitation will be today, 6-9 p.m. at Marion County Funeral Home. The service will be Sunday Feb. 8, 2015, at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Brother Regan Rye officiating. Burial will be in Shottsville Cemetery, Hamilton, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bennie Oesvil Holland and Leo Gorski.
He leaves to treasure his memory parents, Robert E. Geller and Judy Holland Geller; sister, Brittney Geller; grandparents, Betty Holland, Isabella Burwell, and Ralph Geller Sr.; aunts and uncles, Linda and Earl Payne, Rich and Blue Geller, Ralph Geller Jr. and Brenda Zaucha, and Regina and David Danikowski; and a host of family and friends.
