Rev. Carl Smallwood, 88, formerly of Decatur, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017. He was born Sept. 15, 1928. Rev. Smallwood was a retired Baptist minister. He was a Korean War veteran and an avid fly fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine “Jerry” Smallwood and daughter, Connie Tucker.
Survivors include his daughter, Jo Anne Pinnix; sons-in-law, Joe Pinnix and Larry Tucker; sister, Molly Taylor (David); he was loved by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Rev. John Mullaney officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home.
