Carl F. Gieske was born into this world on November 24, 1939 to Joe and Elizabeth Gieske. He departed this world Sunday, January 7, 2024, peacefully in his sleep.
He was a veteran having served honorably in the U.S. Army and National Guard, a member of The Masons and was involved in several other organizations throughout the years. He was well known and liked by many.
Carl was a light hearted, fun loving, and extremely hardworking man with an entrepreneurial spirit. He was successful in many business ventures over the years, an auctioneer, farmer, cattle dealer to name a few but he was mostly known as the owner/operator of Carl Gieske’s Meat Market for over 50 years. However, more than anything Carl loved and lived for his family. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Linda Vines Gieske, three daughters, Paula Luxich (Doug), Carla Gieske (Wayne Burdette), Amy Gieske Garland; one son, David Gieske; three grandchildren, Allie Garland, Liam Burdette, and Bryce Garland; one sister, Loretta Harris; one brother in law, Bob Pruitt; one sister in law, Patti Estes. He was a kind, loving, and forgiving man who loved the lord. He will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Elizabeth Gieske and two sisters, Nell Pruitt and Yvonne Price.
Over the past year he was blessed with some wonderful caregivers. Our family would like to express our thanks to Jeff Gobell, Chelsea Ferguson, Tammy Bailey, Summer Curtis, Jessica Claridia, Sabrina Green, and April Fronning.
