Carl Edward Kelley, 87, of Rogersville, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025 at his residence.
He was a graduate of Lauderdale County High School. After finishing high school, he continued his education at the Florence Teachers College, which is now UNA. Carl then held a career, for 33 years, in the Lauderdale County School System. After getting his degree, Carl joined the United Sates Army Reserves and served for over 28 years before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. In his downtime, he most enjoyed gardening and working in his yard full of roses.
Visitation for Carl will be Thursday, February 6th at Rogersville Funeral Home from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral service following. Burial will be in Oliver-Bedingfield Cemetery. Mark Berryman will be delivering a eulogy. Pallbearers will be Kirk Berryman, Chris Mitchell, Keith Graham, Tanner Graham, Danny Kelley and Barry Howard.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Tula Kelley; and son, David Kelley. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Edna Earle Kelley; and numerous cousins and a host of friends.
