Graveside service for Carl “Carrol Lyndon” Jones, 74, of Moulton will be Thursday, June 25, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Moulton Memory Gardens Dwight NeSmith officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Jones, who died Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Lawrence Medical Center, was born November 1, 1940, in Lawrence County to Fed and Birdie Smith Jones. He retired as a supervisor for Champion International Papers. Mr. Jones was a member of the Cahaba Shriners of Huntsville and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles-Area 4185. He was a lifetime member of the Masons of Michigan-Palestine Lodge 357. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, J.L. Jones, Hayes Jones, Harold Jones, Fred Jones, Jimmy Jones and Gene Jones; and two sisters, Earlene Armstrong and Lily Dunn.
Survivors include his wife, Starlet Lewis Jones; one son, Greg Jones (Kelly) of Moulton; two grandchildren, Josh Jones (Kim) and Kaydee Jones, both of Moulton; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Jones and Reed Jones, both of Moulton; two brothers, Anthony Jones of Moulton and William Jones of Tennessee; and three sisters, Marie Heflin of Moulton, Deborah Finny of Decatur and Brenda Melson of Speake.
