Funeral for Barbara Hill Terrell, 68, of Town Creek will be Thursday, June 25, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Hollis Rutherford officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Terrell, who died Monday, June 22, 2015, at her home, was born July 13, 1946, in Lawrence County to Gaines Hill Sr. and Dessie Hill. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She loved people. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jewel Kirby and Betty Roberts; and brothers, M.A. Hill, Charles Hill, Chester Hill and Sherman Hill.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Terrell; two sons, Stevie Terrell and Paul Terrell Jr.; two daughters, Mechelle Loosier and Theresa Cottingham; son-in-law, Russ Loosier; daughter-in-law, Kristi Terrell; grandchildren, Steven Terrell, Lance Cottingham, Tevin Terrell, Bryar Terrell, Zoie Loosier, Brayden Terrell and Ivie Loosier; great-grandchild, Kora Cottingham; two brothers, Lester Hill and Gaines Hill Jr. “Buddy”; sisters, Catherine Terry, Patricia Rikard, Judy Smith, Odell Speegle and Willard Ellenburg. Other survivors include special niece and nephew, Sonya and Derrick Hood; and a host of nieces and nephews and granddaughter-in-law, Chelsey Branscome.
Pallbearers will be Steven Terrell, Lance Cottingham, Tevin Terrell, Bryar Terrell, Brayden Terrel and Reed Gillespie.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
