Byron Wesley Price “Shorty”, age 63, passed away on January 11, 2024 at his residence.
Born in Birmingham, AL he was the son of Ethelene Berry Price and Don Wesley Price. He attended and graduated from Curry High School in 1978. He was employed at the City of Jasper Street Department for 30 years and worked as a crew leader on construction. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but squirrel hunting was his favorite. He also loved sports and watching Alabama play. He will be remembered for being an amazing, caring father, brother and friend.
He is survived by his Children-Magen McGough (Phillip), Laci Martin (Rick) and Seth Price (Makayla); Grandchildren-Sarah Madison and Anna Beth McGough, Lillie Claire and Jon Sawyer Martin; his Brother-Donnie Price and Sister-Diane Wilson; His dear and close friends-Sharon Key, Lawrence and Katherine Patton, Stephen and Lori Bland.
He is predeceased by his Mother-Ethelene Berry Price and Father-Don Wesley Price.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel.
