FLORENCE-The Florence-Lauderdale Public Library has several events planned to usher out January and bring February in with a bang.

An Evening with Brett Trapp

Thursday, January 26, 6:00 pm

Brett Trapp, the author of the popular blog Blue Babies Pink, will be at FLPL on Thursday, January 26, at 6:00 pm to share his story and lead discussion.

A Florence native, Brett is a graduate of Shoals Christian School and earned a degree in Professional Writing from the University of North Alabama. In the fall of 2016, he began publishing Blue Babies Pink: A Southern Coming Out Story in 44 Episodes. Now completed, the blog explores Brett’s experiences as a gay Christian in the South. Brett’s story has attracted statewide media attention and thousands of readers from across the country. Whether you have already read Brett’s blog or are new to his story, you are invited to join us at the library for this open and honest discussion.
