Brenda Joyce Goodwin, 80, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024. A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024, 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M., with service starting at 2:00 P.M in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Florence. Norman Simmons will be officiating.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Methyl Tompkins; brothers, William Tompkins Jr, Lloyd Tompkins, Kenneth Tompkins, Jerry Tompkins, and Charlie Tompkins.
She is survived by her children, Darryl, Jason (Trena), Staci and Steven Goodwin; sister, Shelia Tompkins Taylor; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Brenda enjoyed reading and playing music. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed taking care of many people. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Helen Keller ICU nurses and staff for all their help and care.
