Mrs. Brenda Jenkins Coffell, 65, of Huntsville, died Sunday, June 29 at 12:45 p.m. at her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Coffell, a native of Huntsville, was a member of Lincoln Church of Christ and lived her life serving her Lord, Jesus Christ. She was affectionately known by her grandchildren as Obie.
Survivors include her husband, George H. Coffell; son, Jared Coffell (Haley) of Hazel Green; daughter, Leah Wright (John) of Meridianville; grandchildren, Natalie, Abigail and Jonathan Wright, all of Meridianville; parents, William Randall “Lefty” and Lovella Jenkins of Huntsville, brother, Randy Jenkins (Janet) of Hazel Green; and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 1 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. Mrs. Coffell will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service which will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lincoln Church of Christ with Dan Jenkins, Ron Williams and Ancil Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
