Brenda Elizabeth Griggs, 64, of Tuscumbia, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014. Visitation will be from 6–8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel, with Gerald Sockwell officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Ms. Griggs was a retired LPN at Dr. Musgrove’s OBGYN office in Florence. She was also a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father, G.C. Griggs, and grandmother, Etta Craft.
She is survived by mother, Margaret Inez Griggs; brothers, Tommy Griggs and Ronny Hargrove (Denise); niece, Michelle Griggs; her favorite pooch, Baby Girl.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
She devoted her life to helping others and she continues to do so in her death. She was a wonderful daughter and sister. A great aunt and the best friend anyone could have. She could put a smile on anyone’s face even when you did not feel like smiling. Now she is being taken care of in the best place there is. No doubt, Brenda Griggs was one of a kind and will remain in our hearts forever.
