Brenda Cheryl Sides, age 59 of Sumiton, passed away on Saturday May 1, 2021 at her residence.
She was a member of New Temple Baptist Church in Bagley.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michaelyn Owens and her mother, June Williams Calabrese.
Survivors include her father, Billy Williams; granddaughter, Madison Owens; great granddaughter, Audrey Owens; siblings, James Williams (Lisa), Karen Hills (Joe) and Mark Williams (Jennifer); nieces and nephews, Kelsey Thomas (Bradley), Austin Williams, Sharee, Ethan and Gavin Green and Caeley and Connor Williams; great nephew, Grayson Thomas; many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced later this week. Her cremains will be interred beside her daughter in New Horizon Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers family request that all donations go to the Fundraising for the CJD Foundation (qgiv.com) (Cheryl Sides) to further research. If she were alive today, she would want to help to find a cure for this disease. Unfortunately, there is little known about this condition and research in this area is limited.
