Bonnie Jones, 79, of Decatur, passed away at Huntsville Hospital on August 11th, 2018. Bonnie Jones was born in Albertville, AL on July 13th, 1939. She married her Husband on August 4th, 1957 and spent 61 wonderful and blissful years together. She retired from Albertville City School system after 19 years of faithful service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Decatur and was admired by all who had the pleasure of meeting her. She was an active member in her church choir and served God well by spreading his message and love through song. She was loved by many and touched so many lives in a positive way. She is survived by her husband Eddie Jones; two sisters Johnnie (Willard) Brock and Nadine Harper of Albertville, AL; her two daughters Sherry Denise Hodge, of Knoxville, TN and Donna (Eric) Waters; Grandsons, Jordan Dean, Jeremy Dean, and Trent Waters; Great-Grandsons Greyson Morgan Smith, Seth Michael Dean, and Tripp Jaxson Dean; Step-Granddaughter and Step-Great-Granddaughter April Hodge, Mila Rose Hodge, of Fort Worth, TX. Her visitation will be on August 13th, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will begin on August 14th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Decatur, with Senior Adult Pastor Rodger Jenkins officiating. Graveside services and burial will be held at Marshall Memory Gardens in Albertville, AL beginning at 4:00 p.m. The pallbearers will be Jordan Dean, Jeremy Dean, Trent Waters, Lynn Brock, Tommy Brock, and Dennis Myers. Roselawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
