Bonnie Faye Patterson, 82, died Monday, June 19, 2023 at her daughter’s residence. She was born in Hodges, AL to Luther and Virdie Rea Stanphill. She was a babysitter for many years and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Services will be Saturday, June 24, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Randy Parchman officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery, Hodges, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter – Teresa Joyce Engle (Rodney); a grandson – Austin Engle (Megan); granddaughters – Tanya Goodloe, Crystal McDonald and Samantha McDonald; great-grandchildren – Kassy, Harley, A.V. and Jena Holcomb, Levi Engle, Katelyn, Tanner and Hayley Jo Engle; a brother – Billy Wayne Stanphill; sisters – Sarah Mercer (Greg) and Barbara Primm (James) and multiple nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hal Aston Patterson, a daughter, Wanza Sue McDonald, a grandson, Rocky Wayne Engle, a granddaughter, Jesse Faye Engle, sisters, Vernell Rider, Vernice Lynn, Lona Mae Letostak and Shirley Stanphill and brothers, Harold Stanphill and James Stanley Stanphill.
Pallbearers will be Bricen Burney, Harold Shotts and Bryan Bridgmon.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 24, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
