Bob Dickens Chaffin, Sr., age 89, entered eternal rest on May 19, 2026.
Bob was born on January 10, 1937, in West Lamesa, Texas, to the late John Riley and Ellaree Chaffin. He was married to Norma Jean Chaffin.
Bob worked for Cargil Chemicals and was a member of North Highland Church of Christ. His favorite song was “When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder” and he loved the Holy Bible, his family and woodworking.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; Raymond Chaffin, Billy Holladay, and J. C. Chaffin.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Norma Chaffin; sons Bobby Chaffin, Jr., and Les (Phyllis) Chaffin; grandchildren, Jeanie Marie (Peanut) Miller, Katy (Mark) Aldred, Emily (Marshall) Wade, Matthew (Morgan) Chaffin; six (6) great-grandchildren, Jaxon Aldred, Knox Aldred, Jay Wade, Mahalia Wade, Charlotte Chaffin, Asher Chaffin; good friends, Tim Turner, Mickey Spilles, Doug Clemmet, Al Fisher, Butch Drake, Sarah Harper Juan Garcia and the loving staff of Terrace Manor Nursing Home, and a host of family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at North Highland Church of Christ, 2101 N Jackson Avenue, Russellville, AL 35653 at 2:00 p.m.
