Blanche (Blanchie) Lee Crosswhite Cole, 80, Leighton, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8 beginning at 10:00 at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. The funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel at noon. Chip Martin, Pastor of Tharptown Baptist Church will officiate. The interment will be in Aycock Cemetery, Leighton.
Blanche was born October 14,1944 in Russellville, AL. She was a graduate of Colbert County High School. She was an active member of Tharptown Baptist Church and loved her church family. Blanche was employed by Lee Company for many years. She was known for her smile, sense of humor and love for her family. She was a dear friend to many. Anyone that knew her, knew of her love for animals. She was our own “Dr. Doolittle”—her ability to nurse sick and injured animals was often miraculous.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Cole; parents, Fillmore and Lecie Crosswhite.
Blanche was a wonderful Mother and “Mamaw”. She always put family first. She is survived by her sons Philip K. Cole, Michael J. Cole (Terri), and Christopher M. Cole (Emily); Grandchildren- Kye Cole (Merideth), Anna Lawler (Jared), Ashley Villegas (Angel), Kyli Soriano (Enrique). Shawn Cole, Matthew Cole, Zach Roberts (Ericka); Great-grandchildren-Evelynn Ann, Marshall, Wake, Beau, Brilee, Kyden, Adalaya, Cleysen, Briggsten.
Pallbearers will be Kenric Crosswhite, Ronnie Stonecipher, Don Shelton, Danny Shelton, Kenny Vandiver, Craig Hasha, Allen Cole. Honorary pallbearers will be all nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Mansell, Dr. Connor, and the ICU nursing staff at Helen Keller Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital and Tharptown Baptist Missions Fund.
