Billy Thomas Melson, age 57, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 3rd.
Billy was born on July 16th, 1965, in Huntsville, Alabama to Billy T. Melson Sr. and Kay Holt Hardy. He was a 1983 graduate of Butler High School. After high school, he became an exceptional welder. He began his welding career at M&S Machine Shop and expanded his welding experience at Lockheed Martin and Boeing. While Billy’s welding abilities were admired by many, his love for having fun was admired by all. Billy lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, spontaneous adventures, and a good ole game of poker.
Billy is preceded in death by Herbert Melson (grandfather), Mae Melson (grandmother), Billy T. Melson Sr (father), and Kay Holt Hardy (mother).
Billy is survived by his son, Billy Ray Parden (Celeste) of Tampa, Florida; his daughter, Cassie Brooke Melson of Huntsville, Alabama; his sister, Rochelle Woods of Birmingham, Alabama; his four grandchildren, Landen, Jaxon, Aria, and Jesse; and his nieces, Lydia and Katelyn.
The family invites all of Billy’s friends to attend his visitation on Wednesday, July 12th from 4:30 to 6:00pm at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. Billy would not want his friends or family to be sad, he would want them to find a way to have fun. To honor Billy the best way we know how, we will have a Celebration of Life following the visitation at Tailgaters on Winchester Road at 6:30pm.
