Billie Jean Smith, 87, passed away Aug. 13, 2015, at ECM Hospital. She was a member of Stony Point Church of Christ and a retired waitress of Trowbridge’s restaurant.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Brad Aycock officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, David and Willie Rickard, husbands, Ray Martin and Millard Smith, son, Daniel A. Martin, brothers, David “Bud” Rickard, Howard Rickard, Robert Rickard, and Emmett Rickard, and sisters, Loretta Carol, Charlene Williams, Rothie Cooper, Louise Ferguson, and Lois Rickard.
She is survived by her son, David W. Martin (Moon), of Brandon, Florida; daughters, Cheryl Ary, of Toney, Alabama, Stephanie Ford (Don), of Ardmore, Tennessee, Joy Parker (Daren), of Toney, Alabama, and Tootie J. Wallace, of Florence; sister, Nancy DaVinci; brothers, Jerry Rickard (Joyce), Joe Rickard (Juanita), and Tom Rickard (Linda), all of Florence; grandchildren, Dan Martin, Amber Martin, David Martin, Billie Plumb, Peggy Miller, Kristel Ary, Yolonda Hunter, Joshua Ford, Donna Ford, Zachary Ford, Christopher Leder, George Parker, Ashley Parker, Sarah Parker, Gary Wallace, Anthony Wallace, Tabitha Jordan, and Latosha Sherrod; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Leder, Daren Parker, Jeremy Miller, Billy Miller, Danny Martin, and David Martin.
