James Roy “Jim” Delaney, age 75, passed away Friday, Aug. 14, 2015.
Visitation will be today, 6-8 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral service will be Sunday, Aug. 16, 2 p.m., at Robertson’s Chapel United Methodist Church on Highway 128/Clifton Road in Savannah, Tennessee with Brother Randy Wallace officiating. He will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ben Mallari, Rob Bland, Ben Jones, Ian Mallari, Jacob Mallari, Owen Mallari, and Austin Hooie. Keith Clifton will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Mr. Delaney was a retired state trooper and later retired from Lowe’s.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manley and Ruth Delaney.
Survivors include
children, Tracie Mallari (Ben),
Leigh Ann Jones, and Gina Bland (Rob); grandchildren, Ben, Sara, Jeff, Ian, Katy, Jacob, Owen, Delaney, and Emma Kate; and great- grandchild, Sara Kate.
