Mrs. Beverly Jane “Janie” Graves, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 in Jackson. She was born March 24, 1949 in Henderson County to the late Ruel Webb Rogers and Ruby J. Snider Rogers. She was a retired I-Appel employee and a member of Scotts Hill Church of Christ. She loved her wind-chimes, hummingbirds, and playing bingo. The most important things to her were her family and the Word of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Morris Wayne Graves; four brothers, Jack Rogers, Bill Snider, Harold Rogers, and Tony Rogers; and three sisters, Maxine Tomblin, Diane Montgomery, and Rubelene Singleton.
Survivors include her son, Gregory W. Graves; two daughters, Teresa Graves Fesmire (Tony) and Marcy Graves Crume (Phil); five grandchildren, Devin Griggs, Deserae Douglas (Justin), Alayna Crume, Zackary Crume, and Alexis Crume; and one great grandson, Sawyer Douglas.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM, Friday, April 7, 2023 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill. Interment will follow in Pafford Scotts Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 5-9 PM and on Friday 9 – 11 AM.
