Betty Sue Dutton Thomas of Birmingham, Al. age 88 went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 19, 2025. She was born November 30, 1936, in McCollum, Al. to Audry Elon Dutton and Willie Mae Burton Dutton. She was a Beautician, Florist and active church member in her younger years and a member of Gardendale Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband William Wesley Thomas Sr. of 47 years, parents, sisters Vera Mae Dutton, Sarah Hamrick, Faye Alexander and brothers Darrin Dutton and Larry Dutton. She is survived by brother Gary Dutton, daughters Beverly (Wayne) Moorehead, Tammy (Jack) Cagle, Barbara Dutton, son William Wesley (Rhonda) Thomas Jr., Grandchildren Karyn (Anthony) Winkler, Maria (Jordan) Fletcher, Catherine (Garrett) Potts, James Cagle, William Wesley Thomas III, Laurie Thomas, Hope (Ryan) Forester & Colton Henderson.
She had 9 Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jack Cagle, James Cagle, Jordan Fletcher, Wayne Moorehead, Garrett Potts, Anthony Winkler.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 3:00PM, at New Horizon Chapel with Rev. Eddie Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
