Betty Marion Stanley, 84 of Guntersville, Alabama, died Thursday September 8, 2016 at Shepherd’s Cove-Hospice of Marshall County.
Mrs. Stanley was born December 1, 1931 in Alabama to Norris E. Marion and Estelle Phillips Marion. She worked on the Redstone Arsenal as a management specialist for 32 years, she also taught school at Carlisle Park and Union Grove. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling.
She was a member of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Lisa S. and Alan Beck; grandchildren: Blair Maze Kelley and her husband Jake, Brantley Maze and his fiancé’ Bradleigh Shell, Bailey Maze and her fiancé’ Drew Knop and Destin Beck; six great grandchildren; a sister-in-law: Betty Marion and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents: Norris and Estelle Marion; three brothers: Thomas H. Marion, Frank A. Marion and David Marion.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday September 11, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers: Frank Whitaker and Jake Kelley, officiating. Burial will be in First Baptist Church Union Grove Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Sunday September 11, 2016 at Arab heritage Memorial Chapel.
