Betty Lou Whiting Smith, age 82 of Greenbrier passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026. A graveside service will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at the Bethlehem Cemetery, Springfield, TN. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Betty was born July 31, 1943 in Goodlettsville, TN to the late Buist Dean and Verlie Wilson Whiting. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Kenneth Lee Smith;
brothers, William Whiting, Roy Whiting; sister, Reba Nash and grandson, Tyler Smith.
She was a member of Northridge Church and was employed as a Bookkeeper at Service Merchandise. She loved cooking and playing with her grandchildren.
She is survived by sons, Tony (Shannon) Smith, Scott (Sheila) Smith; grandchildren, Tiffani Smith, Kenna Gross and great-grandchild, Morgan Lee Allen.
