Mrs. Betty Joann Pearce Mrs. Betty Joann Pearce, born August 17, 1946, in Marshall County, Alabama, passed away on October 19, 2025. She was a beloved member of the community, known for her passion for crafting and quilting, and her love for spending cherished moments with family and friends.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Roy R. Pearce Jr., her devoted son Kenneth E. Hand, and her caring daughter Joann Hand. She is also survived by her brothers Donald (Teresa) Buchanan and James (Linda) Buchanan, as well as her sisters Patsy Smith and Thelma Staggs. Betty leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her grandchildren: Eric Hand, Robert Hand, Steven Hand, Chris Frazier, Jeffery Kimbrough, and Levi Hawkins, along with a host of great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee and Pearl Buchanan, her son, Tony Dewayne Hand, her brothers Robert L. Buchanan Jr. and Edward Buchanan, and her sisters Evelyn Ware and Frances Byrum.
Visitation: Thursday, October 23, 2025, 6pm-8pm at Carr Funeral Home Funeral Service: Friday, October 24, 2025, 2pm at Carr Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Bell officiating. Mrs. Pearce’s final resting place will be in the mausoleum at Memory Hill Cemetery in Albertville, Alabama.
Betty will always be remembered for her warm heart, creativity, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
