Betty Jo Zills, 79, Tuscumbia, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Visitation will be Thursday, November 9, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Betty Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Bethel Burden; daughter, Julie Anette Woods; son, John Michael Woods; sisters, Judy Handley and Lena Phillips; and brothers, Coy Edwards, Orbie Edwards, and Eddie Edwards.
Betty Jo is survived by her son, Loyd W. Woods; sister, Jane Borden (Roy); sister-in-law, Mary Edwards; grandchildren, Hannah Woods, Binah Jane Cochran, Caleb Cochran, and John and Courtney Woods; and great-granddaughter, Jovi Selah Cochran.
