Betty Jo Holland, 86, of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, April 8th, 2026. Mrs. Holland was born on June 22nd, 1939.
Mrs. Holland is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Holland, son, Dennis Wayne Holland, mother, Eva Martin, and sisters; Katie Bates and Helen Ruth Sims.
Mrs. Holland leaves behind many loved ones. Including her daughters, Dana Riggs (David-deceased), Pam Bates (Johnny), Lynn Pugh (Bert), and Rhonda Long (Darryl). Her grandchildren; Christopher Riggs, Eva Riggs, Addison White, Keesha Riggs, Jonathan Bates (Jewely), Logan Bates, Will Pugh (Bethany), Stuart Pugh (Abby), Nicholas Long, and Kayla Holt (Chris). Mrs. Holland had 17 great-grandchildren; Cassidy, David Austin, Hannah (Grant), Kiara, River, Josey, Jolene, Jamison, Wyatt, Kohan, Remi, Silas, Psalm, Ella, Laken, Brylee, Hensley, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; Lila and Saige.
Mrs. Holland loved her family. She loved to cook, spend time with her loved ones, especially playing games. She also enjoyed feeding the birds.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, April 12th, 2026 at 4PM.
